Closing came and went in May without a hiccup. Since then we've been up more times than we can count — family, hiking, the range, four-wheelers, and our first bear on the game camera.

The ink is dry. 80 acres in Lake Creek Valley, Edwards CO — backed up to 123,000 acres of White River National Forest. Closing is set for May 12.

The existing cabin is 1,672 sq ft. It'll serve as base camp while we plan the new build. Architect meetings are underway. The road and utility work alone is a project.
